How It All Began

Amelia Auckland Living began with two people — and one great-grandmother who painted glass by hand in Auckland for forty years.

Martha and Henry spent years collecting pieces with character: stained-glass lamps that friends never wanted to return, and whisky decanters and glasses worth displaying, not hiding away. Guests always asked the same question: “where do you two find this stuff?”

We opened this store to do that work for you. Two trained eyes looking for the same thing in different materials: glass that holds the light.
